take-it-to-the-street-poetry is celebrating

One year ago this month a crazy idea I had about giving away poetry was born and here we are growing, gone global and the possibilities are endless. take-it-to-the-street-poetry is having a birthday celebration and we invite you along for the ride.

While we are not a high profile, top of the line literary zine that people pay mucho dinero for (free is our middle name), we are a collection of voices, arts, passion and spirit. For me to be the caretaker of so many people’s craft (for many this is their first time being published) is truly one helluva honor.

That being said, I want to invite anyone interested in submitting words for a Chapbook. Before you submit be willing to share your words with the globe and the only payment I can offer is the satisfaction of knowing you are not above the crowd and want people to read your words. Deadline for submissions is June 15, 2012.

So off we go towards another year of poetry, art and taking it to the streets!!!
